Are you passionate about shaping the future of global development and advocating for the rights of young people around the world? To mark the 30th anniversary of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD), UNFPA invites you to apply to attend the ICPD30 Global Youth Dialogue this year on 4–5 April in Cotonou, Benin.
In a world undergoing demographic transition, globalization, conflict and climate crises, many young people grapple with obstacles such as poverty and marginalization, limiting their access to essential information and services.
Young people are a crucial constituency of the ICPD Programme of Action – one that is poised to grow exponentially over the next few decades. The continued relevance of the Programme of Action relies on young people’s involvement in its agenda. The Global Youth Dialogue is designed to celebrate young people as changemakers, partners in development and custodians of the Programme of Action. It is a platform to hear the concerns of young people and to, celebrate their projects and ensure that the ICPD is relevant for the coming decades.
Criteria for participation:
Join us in Benin for this enriching two-day event filled with vibrant discussions and thoughtful deliberations to propel forward the global agenda on youth rights and development.
Apply here. The deadline to submit your applications is 9 February at 5:00 p.m. EST.
Your voice matters in shaping the future we want! We look forward to receiving your applications and welcoming you to the ICPD30 Global Youth Dialogue.
