UNFPA Innovation Strategy 2030

The Innovation Strategy outlines the guiding principles of UNFPA’s innovation trajectory, reaffirming our commitment to being future-focused and fostering an environment where transformative ideas and solutions can thrive. Rooted in the strategic vision of UN 2.0, the Quintet of Change, and the UN Innovation Principles, the Strategy is in alignment with UNFPA’s Strategic Plan, Strategy on Financing the ICPD Agenda (2024–2030), Resource Mobilization Strategy, and Knowledge Management Strategy, among others.

The Strategy is envisioned to serve as more than just a roadmap—it is an invitation to think boldly, act decisively, and champion innovation as a force for good. Its success hinges on the active engagement of leaders and teams across UNFPA to identify, support and center innovation at every level. Together, we can place innovation at the heart of everything we do, centering the needs, voices, and aspirations of women and young people in all their diversity.
