From 8 to 10 June 2016, world leaders, government representatives, HIV programme implementers and civil society organizations from across the world will gather at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City to chart the way forward to ending AIDS as a public health threat by 2030, as called for by the Sustainable Development Goals.
Promoting and understanding the connections between HIV and sexual and reproductive health and rights will be the focus of a number of UNFPA-organized events during the United Nations General Assembly High-Level Meeting on Ending AIDS. The events will underline the successes of national governments in integrating sexual and reproductive health and rights into their AIDS response and encourage them to allocate additional resources for HIV prevention.
