Three decades ago, governments of the world affirmed, in a landmark consensus at the International Conference on Population and Development, that sexual and reproductive health and reproductive rights are enmeshed with – and inseparable from – the broader aims of sustainable development.
To mark the thirtieth anniversary of the conference and its Programme of Action, the UN Multi-Faith Advisory Council and UNFPA are hosting a session of celebration and reflection with multi-faith actors. The virtual session, which is organized under the theme “From Many, One: Multi-Faith Actors Celebrate ICPD Achievements, Build Bridges and Shape the Future for Gender Justice,” takes place on 26 June 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. EDT.
