Join the High-Level Commission on the Nairobi Summit on ICPD25 Follow-up (HLC) for the launch of the third and final report taking place on the sidelines of the High-Level week of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly.
The UNFPA-hosted event, will feature Dr. Natalia Kanem, Executive Director, UNFPA, together with the Co-Chairs of the High-Level Commission on the Nairobi Summit on ICPD25 Follow-up (HLC), H.E. Dr. Jakaya Kikwete, former President of Tanzania, and H.E. The Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, former Governor General of Canada and former Secretary General of la Francophonie, along with the Commissioners.
The third and concluding report of the HLC will be launched during a high-level event from 9 to 11 am on Friday, 22 September 2023, on the sidelines of the high-level week of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, with the aim to recognize and celebrate the three-year tenure of the HLC and its leadership in the ICPD25 follow-up processes at global, regional and national levels, highlight progress in implementing the 12 core global Nairobi Summit on ICPD25 Follow-up commitments, and to highlight opportunities to further advance the ICPD25 commitments through a sexual and reproductive justice framework in global, regional and country contexts, including those that that place as part of the ICPD30 review process.
